Wednesday 24th 💚🇮🇪Morning classes followed by afternoon "Treasure Trail" through the city, stretching 25 points from The Claddagh Church to the University's Quadrangle.Each of the 5 teams started at different points and the rain came pouring down for the full two hours ☔ 😭😎💚.... but the Chicago group scooped the prize for 1st place 🎉 - first back to base.We have a special video to follow...#treasurehunt #cityofthetribes #galway #teencamp #Ireland #summercamp #irishculture

*Day Trip to Connemara National Park** We climbed to the top of 1450ft Diamond Hill 🎊 to enjoy the spectacular views over Connemara. (Note- a few pitstops along the climb!!!)* We visited the majestic Kylemore Abbey and sat for a while to enjoy snacks and the serenity*We visited the Clancy Farm in Moycullen and helped move the cattle, followed by wonderful hospitality by Mrs Mary Clancy, banjo-playing and Irish Dancing by our students

Saturday 20th July 💚🇮🇪Day Trip to The Burren and Cliffs of Moher in Co Clare (All-Ireland Hurling champions 2024)* an early start for our day trip via the famous Corkscrew Hill* visit to Dunguaire Castle in the beautiful town of Kinvara, where our wonderful leader Gabrielle showcased her beautiful Irish art* on to the majestic Cliffs of Moher. Not only is it a spectacular sight to behold, but our talented students added to this with individual dancing accompanied by local musicians. 🎶🪕 well done to all 💚#irishdance #irishmusic #irishcastles #irishtrip #clare #teencamp

💚 Thursday 27th July💚* Visit to City Hall following an invite from Mayor of Galway, Cllr. Eddie Hoare. Our young Mayor gave an inspirational talk on the power of young people as change-makers #youthempowerment . Following a robust Q&A session with him, we signed the guest book and received gifts from his office. Thank you Mayor Hoare and all @galwaycitycouncil @eddiehoare* Afternoon Treasure Trail of Galway City, where five teams battled it out to the finish line, each starting at different points and stopping for selfies at most of the city's landmarks. Well done- it was a trek but great fun* Obligatory evening dip in Blackrock.
